“Part time Employment Undermines Students’ Commitment to School”
The author states that students who work a lot perform worse in school because their less committed to they’re education, and are less engaged in class than their classmates who work less or not at all. They think it’s not about how much a student’s spends working but how much time they devote.  Sometimes, earning money makes school feel less rewarding. Working also increases alcohol and drug use.
In my opinion I think working keeps you out of using drugs and alcohol because your so interested in trying to make money you just don’t have time for all that extras stuff. Also working takes your head out of studies because you think at that moment making money is most important, when in reality you go to school to prepare yourselves for a better job. I agree that it’s not about how much work the student puts into it but the time because I was taught the longer you spend on something the better it is.

If I could change the world

If I could change the world, I would probably end war. Not just in our country but in every other country all around the world. I’m sure many people would like that.

Since the beginning of time, humans have had problems, conflicts, etc. But when caught in the moment, they only think about themselves and not how it hurts the people around them. Believe it or not, it really affects us to; each and every individual soldier has a family, wife, kids, people who love them.  Why die fighting for something that really isn’t that important? Everyone has forgotten about how life isn’t just about getting rich, making money. When the most important thing is being healthy, finding love within each other. Yet some people are selfish and don’t care about anything else besides power, having it all. God put us on this earth to have a purpose, and I don’t think war is one of them, but finding what you’re talented in- what inspires you not going out there and killing anyone who they say is against you.

Countries spend hundreds of thousands of millions of dollars on guns, ships and  boats built for war. Instead, they could be helping out the poor, people in need, people who don’t have anything to eat. Christmas is coming up and I’m sure many people have never even received a present. War kills people, separates people, and all they do is go and kill people they don’t even know just because someone gave them the orders. What we really should be doing is embracing our people, showing little ones to be respectful, how to have a bigger and better world full of happiness. Without war we all would be so much happier, dept free and there would be more people on our planet.
